Jill and the Beanstalk
Project Overview
Jill and the Beanstalk is a Toronto-based small business and go-to store for eco-friendly baby clothes, sustainable toys, unique gifts, and more. While the site had a solid customer base, it lacked clear SEO optimization, had navigation issues, outdated content, and wasn’t fully utilizing Shopify’s marketing tools. The original design was poorly executed and needed to be elevated to the next level to better serve customers and reflect the brand. After redesigning key pages and optimizing SEO, the business saw a noticeable increase in traffic within just a few days.
Website & UX
- Created new pages within the existing site structure
- Updated homepage layout to improve UI/UX, navigation, and customer flow
- Updated navigation menus and footer links for consistency and usability
- Added custom gallery sections with styled images and descriptions

- Performed ongoing on-page SEO, including meta titles, descriptions, and image alt text
- Optimized images, layout, and performance to improve page load speed
- Connected and maintained Google Search Console for indexing and sitemap management
